I’ve mounted a large show of my Punk and New Wave icons from the late 1970s at a friend’s new coffeehouse, Bardo at 238 South Broadway in Denver. This is a very cool place, you really need to check it out, and it’s open until 4a Friday and Saturday! Other days it’s open until midnight. Show lasts until June 2, 2010. Hope to see you there!

New works by David Zimmer, Sabin Aell, Richard Peterson, John Babbock, Cornelia Peterson, Mark Sink, and Carson Reed.

The opening is Friday March 19 from 6p — 10p at Vertigo Art Space, 960 Santa Fe Drive in Denver, CO.

The public reading by Carson Reed will be at 8:14p.

Roger Green provides the ambience for the evening with his eclectic music.

Heads of Hydra (a photographers’ collective curated by Richard Peterson) presents “A Something Or Other That Has No Name In Any Language,” an exhibition with six photographers and a writer. The visual artists created their work first (loosely inspired by Arthur Rimbaud’s pursuit of the Unknown), and the writer, using a chance sequence, created creative words from the visuals. Usually, illustrations are found or created to accompany writing. In this case, the visuals come first and are used to inspire the writing by Carson Reed.

An art show of some of my Punk/New Wave photo collection opens tonight on New Year’s Day  at the Photo Martini Club, 3920 Tennyson Street in Denver. I’ll be there from 6—10p. Hope to see you there!

I’ll be at St. Mark’s tonight for a casual opening of my Search & Destroy show of vintage Punk and New Wave photography. I’ll be there from 6p — midnight this April 10, which also happens to be my birthday.

If you can’t make it tonight, the show will be open all days until the end of April. Show location is 2019 East 17th Street in Denver.
